2025 CSA opens February 17th!
We realize that not everybody can make it to the farmers market on Saturdays so this year we’re adding the ability to purchase farm fresh produce plus an array of addons through our Community Supported Agriculture offering. Every week from the week of June 9th to the week of October 23th you can pick up a box from Watmough Bay Farm Thursday afternoons, from the Saturday Farmers Market, or, for a fee, we can deliver. Go to our Farm Store page to buy your CSA.
Produce Share
Each weekly share contains 6-12 different items. We always try to have a balance between leafy greens, salad greens, herbs, root crops, summer fruit crops (tomatoes, squash, eggplant etc.), and specialty items. Shares tend to be smaller in the spring, becoming more abundant in the summer and fall.
20 week share - $775 for 20 weeks of produce, that's only $38.75/week!!
Pastured Egg Share
Our chickens are raised free-range on pasture and fed organic feed and garden waste. They have no fences and are free to forage for greens and bugs to their hearts delight. The chickens are guarded by two devout livestock guarding dogs (Vera and Leonard) and two guard geese.
1 dozen per week - $180 (you can get up to 2dz/week) $9/dozen
Pasture-Raised Meat Chicken Share
Our chickens are moved to fresh pasture daily to ensure the healthiest, happiest birds. In addition to pasture and vegetable scraps from the farm, our birds eat a locally milled organic feed that is non-GMO and soy free. Receive a whole frozen chicken from our farm every week or every other week Chickens average between 4.5 and 5 pounds each.
Full Share - $700 for 20 chickens ($35 per chicken) - delivered every week
Half Share - $350 for 10 chickens ($35 per chicken) - delivered biweekly
Sourdough Bread Share
We are partnering with our friends at Barn Owl Bakery to offer a weekly sourdough bread share. You'll get a loaf of naturally-leavened bread made with regionally-grown, whole-grain flours each week. The bread will be baked on Wednesday and it will be a version of their Country Loaf.
Full Share - $220 for 20 loaves ($11 per loaf)
Mushroom Share
We’re partnering with Shade Maiden from Lopez Island to offer a pint of mushrooms each week. The variety will vary each week and will include one of the following: Oyster Mushroom varieties(gold, grey, white, etc), Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, King Trumpet, Black Pearl, Pioppino, and Blue King
$180 for 20 pints - $9 each

Why signup for our CSA?
You’re getting finest of our products. We’ll also let you know first if we have extra of anything - think tomatoes for canning, peppers for salsa, cucumbers for pickles or a pork share.
You will also be invited to a CSA customer appreciate party at the farm. We don’t have it scheduled yet but it will be in the fall.
We want to continue to nourish our community’s bodies and souls through local food grown in a way that heals the earth. Small scale farming like this is a lot of work and very hard on our bodies and for us to continue to do this we need to hire skilled labor. We’re starting a CSA partly so we can pay employees. Relying on volunteers or interns is not sustainable way to continue farming long-term. By buying our CSA you are helping us pay an employee, or two, a fair wage and learn a super valuable skill.
